Shany Nail Art Plates

I got in my 25 pcs Shany nail art stamping plates!!! They are awesome. I couldn't wait to use them. I played with them for hours last night. I hated to take off my polish as I had just did my nails Sunday so I decided to stamp over them with the zebra. Turned out great. The image picked up very well. And stamped very clean too.  I got this set off of amazon for $11.99. I'm very pleased with these especially for the price. The polish I used for the stamp is black in the color club striper.

And here is a picture of the plate I used.

Fish Tail

Here is the Fish Tail Manicure I did this weekend.  It was actually quite easy.  I used all China Glaze colors.  Turned up Turquoise was my base and then Gamer Glam and Hyper Haute as my other two colors.  There's a great tutorial I found here Lucy's Stash

Of course I had to add some sparkle later this afternoon. China Glaze Fairy Dust.  Its the perfect amount of sparkle!!!

Here is the colors I choose to start off with but I decided I needed something a little more contrasting.
The color I used here as a base is China Glaze Digital Dawn.

New Poilsh and update to nails!

Bought a new polish this week that I have been dying to have.  Its Nails Inc. special effects Holographic Glitter top coat.  So I had to use it and my nails were still in good shape so I just used it over them.  It gives a very pretty shimmer and holographic look.  This polish would be great over absolutely anything.  I put to coats over my pinky finger and only one coat over the rest.  Then a coat of Seche Vite.

And here is what it looks like in the box.

And out of the box.

Definitely a must have for any collection.

Dashing Diva Design FX!!!

Me and my friends recently started using the Dashing Diva Design FX.  They are very easy to apply, just lightly buff and dehydrate your nails, then peel and stick!!! Its that simple.  And they actually stay very well.  A good week.  They also make a product called Gelife.  Its a UV/LED cured base coat and top coat to give the Design FX an additional week of wear for a total of two weeks.  The really amazing thing about Gelife is you apply your appliques to your nails then you apply the base coat over the top of your appliques.  ( Weird right ) Cure for two minutes under UV and 30 seconds under LED.  Then apply your top coat over that.  Cure the same. Cleanse the tackiness with 99% alcohol. Your done.  One major thing that sets these apart from the rest is no acetone for removal.  Yes that's right tried it ourselves! As good as these stay, when its time for removal you simple peel off.  We didn't believe it either, but its true.  Two weeks of wear no chipping and no acetone for removal.  I definitely give these two thumbs up.  And they come in a ton of cute designs some flat, some glittered, some raised. They are awesome!!!

Here is Carnival on one of my very dear friends!!!  Even with the gel base and top coat you can still feel the texture!!!

Copy Cat : )

So as I was saying I'm a total copy cat.  I seen these nails on pinterest a month or so back and couldn't wait to do them.  I used China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy ( the best color ever ), OPI Golden rules and OPI Black Onyx.  I used a dotting tool to make my leopard.

And a matching pedicure!!!!

My Nails

Ok. This will be one of the very few times you will ever see my real nails.  I have an obsession with glue on full coverage nails.  The best are Kiss nails.  They stay every bit of 2 weeks and at $6 a box if you break one no big deal.
So i did these yesterday because it was time for my nails to come off.  I'm going on vacation next week and didn't want to do my nails till Sunday night. So i decided some Gelish would tide me over till then.  Gelish is my favorite gel lacquer line. I like the other brands like Shellac and GelColor by OPI. But Gelish is my favorite.  And they have so many gorgeous colors.  Here I used Tiki Tiki Laranga, Amazon Flirt, and Copa Cabana Banana.  I painted diagonal stripes and then cured and on my second coat of diagonal stripes then i took and tooth pick and drug through the polish in the opposite direction. Then cured.  I topped it off with two coats of Vegas Nights which is an awesome holo glitter.  Love it!!!

And another photo took outside.

 Thanks for looking!!!

Why???

So why a nail blog? I follow several nail blogs and I really enjoy them. Nails is my passion it's what I love to do. I have been a cosmetologist for 10 years. And I have worked in professional beauty supply for almost 7. A lot of things I will be posting won't be original work. I'm a big copy cat. But after all we all get inspirations from somewhere. I'm not a great writer I don't speak properly or always spell things right. Grammars not my thing being from the south. Im not sure how often yet that I will be able to post things I'm hoping twice a week. I am married with a 9 year old girl and a 5 year old boy so spare time is a luxury. So here we go...
